Ash Creek Cowgirl
DECEASED - REFERENCE MARE
Ash Creek Cowgirl was bred and raised at the 6666 Ranch. She is a proven producer, dam of Playin In The Creek (AQHA High Point Senior Ranch Riding Level 1 Open Champion) and half sister to Crowns Lad ($50,000 Road to the Horse 3-Year-Old Open Challenge Co-Champion) and MS Llano Estacado (3rd No Bull Barrel Racing Morristown Open 23 Class).
She was by Playgun, sire of the earners of more than $9.6 Million in reined cow horse, cutting, and ranch horse events, not to mention his influence and progeny earnings in both barrel and roping performance horses to-date.
On her bottom side she was out of a daughter of Paddys Irish Whiskey, a sire of champions in versatility ranch horse, reined cow horse, cutting, reining, calf roping, and team roping. His daughters have produced more than $2,200,000 including an NRHA Open Futurity Champion and multiple AQHA and NRCHA World Champions.
Ash Creek Cowgirl was a sweet, feminine mare that still had the square corners and shape of a Playgun but with some added look and softness the Paddy’s Irish Whiskey are known for.
For her last three breeding years she was bred to Bill and Carole Smith’s great stallion, ELS Scottish Nick, and that pairing has produced outstanding babies. We currently have three full siblings, 2 fillies and 1 gelding, in our string and plan to keep both fillies as replacements for their dam.
